Web Design Principles
The first two assignments were to produce a website based on a provided design. The produced design was expected to match the design exactly, with a certain degree of creativity and expansion expected.

The second two assignments were to produce a design, including a logo, for fictitious organizations based upon a set brief and specific target users. Competitor websites, profiles for potentials users and the goals of the organization were to be analyzed and a graphical design was to be produced.

Moving Image Technology
The task was to create two videos, using the same footage, that had been edited in different ways creating a completely different context and effect. This was a group assignment. The chosen subject for the video was “my mind’s eye”, the two videos could be no longer than 3 minutes each. The first video, Perceptions, is a dramatic story about a schizophrenic man who’s minds eye perceives delusions. The second video, State of Mind, is a spoof documentary about the same character but from a satirical perspective.

Database Systems
The task was to run a series of experiments to improve the efficiency of 2 database queries. The database, including sample data, was provided. The two queries were to be run on the data before and after optimisation, with the execution plan extracted and analysed to determine the efficiency improvements that can be made through the introduction of index or statistics.
